History[]
As a child, he grew up the son of a street walker and was a pick-pocket. He then vowed to have a better life and made something of himself. As an adult, he was a powerful man in the city as he gave Enid Jenkins her position of editor of the paper when the former quit.
He was among the many attendings at a party at the Botticelli sisters home where Margaret Mehar worked as a maid. At the party he watched with amusement as Margaret was hypnotized by Georges Rondeau. A few days later Margaret approached him and tried to blackmail him with his past so he approached Georges in hopes of getting him to hypnotize Margaret permanently. After having her brought to the Queen's Chamber, he was behind the men who raped and tortured her. In the end, he suffocated her before handing her body over to Dr. Melanda Israel for her to study. She proceeded to carve her up before placing Margaret where she was later found.
Not wanting to be caught, he had Reverend Andrew May Sr. blamed for the crime for which he was later hung in front of the crowd.
12 years passed since that night and on the evening after Alistair Simcoe's murder, he attended a magic show by Georges Rondeau with Viviana Botticelli, Venetia Botticelli and their younger half-sister Verdi Botticelli. Before being introduced to Verdi, Viviana asks after an engagement to which he doesn't tell her an answer.
When Horatio Dixon angered him, he sent his henchman Eddie Jacobs to speak to the man. After Horatio's death, he personally headed to speak to Enidand pushed her into her printing press' ink to get her to stop printing anything about the Widow. The day after Eddie's murder, he and Salomé, Viviana Botticelli, Melanda Israel, and Isaac Kashtinsky accidentally ate meat pies with Eddie inside. It was during the meal that the group theorized that Georges Rondeau was guilty despite no true evidence. Once Georges is arrested, he heads to speak with the man.
After Melanda is brought to examine Salome, she admits to the cover-up on Margaret's murder, resulting in him being brought to the station. While behind bars, he threatened Georges.
Once freed, he went home to find Verdi Botticelli was still there. In his plan to have sex with her, he decided that they needed to get married. Once he got her to agree, he decided to have the wedding the next day. After arriving at the church he walked down the aisle to learn that someone had dung up Margaret's corpse and put a wedding gown on it. He is then beaten up by the Widow before his maid, Gladys, Verdi, and Kenneth Rijkers approach. It is then that the Widow unmasks revealing her identity as Regina Simcoe, the daughter of Margaret, before she killed him with help from Gladys, Kenneth, Andrew May Jr., and Verdi.
