Benny Ironside, more commonly known as Glenn Morgan, is a main character in the second season of Slasher. He is portrayed by Ty Olsen.
Background[]
Assuming the identity of his former friend Glenn Morgan, Benny lives off the grid as a member of We Live as One. Benny has been doing this for a less than a couple months before the events of Guilty Party.
Benny maintains his lie for a few days, but after Noah Jenkins becomes suspicious of Benny he's revealed to be using a false name for the months he's been with his group. In retribution, Benny kidnaps Noah and hides him in a small abandoned bus further out in the woods, where he rapes him.
After a while, Benny attempts to kill Noah which gives him an opportunity to escape the bus. When he finally gets back, everyone assumes that Benny is the Camp Motega Killer after finding out that Benny had killed Glenn before joining We Live as One.
Trying to escape, Benny attempts to kill Renée and Judith but Renée manages to disable him by shooting him in the shoulder. He's promptly stripped down, his wound dressed, and tied down to a chair in the garage.
After Renée confronts Peter and Mark about what to do with Benny, she is aggravated by both Antoine's death and Noah's assault, to the point where she locks herself inside the garage with Benny and begins torturing him.
History[]
It's revealed in "Night of Hunters" that one year prior to the events of Guilty Party, Benny was incarcerated. During his time there he meets a new inmate called Glenn Morgan. Glenn initially disregards Benny's advice and warnings, but after a while the two become quite close friends.
After Glenn's release six months later, he makes his way to Tamarind Bluffs— a place he wanted to go after leaving prison. Four months after that, Benny is also released and finds his way there as well, to which Glenn is surprised to see him. Glenn tells Benny that he intends to join a small community called We Live as One. Benny is initially skeptical of the group but decides to go with Glenn anyway.
After a while, Glenn expresses to Benny that he's sick and tired of the life he's trying to leave behind, and wants Benny gone. This hurts Benny, and attempts to reconcile their “relationship” with a kiss. But Glenn tells Benny that the (insinuated) sexual relationship they shared wasn't entirely consensual, facing what’s heavily implied to be prison rape.
This is the last straw for Benny, who in a fit of rage and denial, kills Glenn by beating him against his camper van and repeatedly punching him. Benny takes Glenn's camper van and drives the rest of the way to We Live as One. Introducing himself as his former lover - Glenn Morgan.
Relationships[]
Glenn Morgan[]
As suggested in "Night of Hunters", Benny and Glenn's relationship was entirely one-sided. Benny had been obsessed with Glenn because of their interactions in prison and assumed that he felt the same way. But after Glenn's abrupt admission of not caring for Benny, he became enraged and killed Glenn by beating him to death.
