Owen Turnbull, also referred to as Wren, is a main character in the second season of Slasher. He is portrayed by Sebastian Pigott.
Background[]
In the second season finale (The Past is Never Dead), it's revealed that 'Wren' has always been a hallucination created by Judith due to her mental break. Wren was created to personify her grief and anger from losing her son- Owen Turnbull.
Owen was Judith's son and originally another camp counselor at Camp Motega. However, after Talvinder's disappearance, Owen was framed for the crime and sent to prison. Unable to handle the pressure and guilt from being incarcerated, Owen killed himself shortly after by hanging himself.
Stricken with grief, Judith soon suffered a mental breakdown that eventually led her to erase her son and become a member of We Live as One. Judith remained completely dormant until the five counselor that framed Owen reappeared- causing her to spiral back down, create 'Wren', and eventually to begin killing.
Wren from this point becomes a source of love and peace for Judith, often reflecting and verbalizing Judith's own views. However, Judith begins to kindle an intimate relationship with him- falling in love with him at a point. It's only until Dawn attempts to leave that Judith snaps and the Wren persona disappears.
Relationships[]
Judith Berry[]
It's assumed that Judith and Owen had a close mother-and-son relationship before his suicide. As not only did Owen send her letters while he was incarcerated, but his mother actually spiraled into insanity after his death.
During season two, Wren and Judith share some questionable moments, which makes you wonder how close their relationship actually was.
